Part-time international MBA

The Part-Time International MBA is a Master of Business Administration with a strong international focus, conducted entirely in English, lasting 2 years. The School’s international atmosphere will put you in touch with diverse cultures and stimulate dialogue and debate. The course will give you tools for achieving your professional goals, increasing your value in the job market, and broadening your international career possibilities.

The Part-Time MBA in International Business lasts 24 months: the program usually held in 1 year is split into 2 years and classes are from Monday to Friday in Trieste, Italy.
The program starts in October and finishes two years later at the end of September, with the final examination and Graduation Day. All classes are conducted in English.

There are two types of courses: required and elective.

Each course is offered twice during the part-time program; participants can choose when attending different courses.
Each course is assigned a number of credits; each credit is the equivalent of an average of 25 class hours as established by the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

With a variety of opportunities for stays abroad including Study Tours in Europe, an Exchange program in the United States or China, and more than 10 countries represented in the classroom each year and an international faculty, the MBA program at MIB Trieste it is one of only 3 MBAs in Italy with AMBA Global Accreditation - Association of MBAs, which is recognized in over 80 countries worldwide.

Several international opportunities can be incorporated into the MBA program:

• International study tours
  Intended for participants of the various Masters, Alumni, and representatives of partner companies. Trips to European destinations may include training sessions and meetings with Top Management in companies or at production sites.
• Exchange Study Program
  During the second part of the Master, you can choose to continue studying in the United States at Rollins College, or in China at Lingnan College. It is a completely immersive experience, where new professional and networking opportunities often arise.

Learning Process

Studied and developed especially for our MBA program, the curriculum was designed to help all participants reach three objectives.

Particular attention is paid to developing aptitudes of participants, during the entire course, personal development activities help develop individual potential.

90% of placement is the average of the last 3 editions of the MBA in International Business. During the entire duration of the Part-Time MBA, participants maintain contact with the international business world through experience with experts from the field, international exchanges, and individual projects. The main objective of MBA students is to improve their career prospects.

Throughout and after the course of study, through Career Services, the School supports participants in reaching career goals.

Career Services operates as an intermediary between candidates and companies, creates professional opportunities for participants, and helps companies target and select candidates in line with their company’s needs.

Career Services, in collaboration with an assigned career counsellor, helps candidates to recognize their own potential, define and set goals, and build a strong network.

The MBA in International Business is designed for motivated professionals and offers both full-time and part-time options.

But there is only one MIB Trieste MBA: same faculty, same curriculum, same MBA. The learning is equal across the two MBA formats, and you can choose your own pace to complete it.

MBA Curriculum is divided into 3 Phases.

Phase I - Core (approximately October - February)

The first phase of the MBA includes 3 mandatory Core Sections: the General Management courses, the courses of the Major Concentration in International Business, and the Entrepreneurship & Innovation track.

Phase II - Elective (approximately February - May)

After the “Core” courses, participants customize the Master's by choosing one of the Minor Concentrations and a number of Elective Courses.

Phase III - Projects (approximately June - September)

Development of individual or group Research, Consulting, and Entrepreneurial Projects, in collaboration with companies. This phase also includes opportunities for Study Exchange Programs abroad and the preparation of the Final Project, which will be presented at the Graduation.

To obtain the MBA diploma, each participant must earn at least 70 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System). Each credit equates to an average of 25 hours of workload.
