Energy Management is a function of planning and operation of energy production and energy consumption units. An energy manager is responsible for resource conservation, climate protection, and cost savings. Sustainable Energy is the energy that meets the needs of the present generations without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainable energy is about finding clean, renewable sources of energy—sources that renew themselves, rather than sources that can be depleted. The specialization pathway in Energy and Sustainability is designed for the business owners and energy managers who are in implementing or managing sustainable energy for their organizations. The specialization pathway in Energy and Sustainability will have a focus on energy management, alternative energy sources, energy transition, sustainable technologies and economies, balancing and energy storage, legal and regulatory environment of the energy business.
The one-year MBA (Master of Business Administration) in Energy and Sustainability is a comprehensive program designed for professionals who want to attain knowledge in sustainable energy and energy management. Post completion of the program, the learners will be awarded a Post Graduate Extended Diploma in Energy and Sustainability from Cambridge International Qualifications, UK, and an MBA in Energy and Sustainability from Universidad Catolica de Murcia, UCAM.
The students enrolling with MBA in Energy and Sustainability will undertake the core modules on International Human Resources, Strategic Change Management, Strategic Management, and Leadership and Operations Management and specialized modules in Energy Management, Sustainable Energy Management and 21st Century Globalization in First Part while in the second part the students will take the module on Socio-Economic – Legal Environment and thesis work.
Master of Business Administration
Part A consists of six modules out of which four modules are core while two are specialized modules. The six modules will be delivered over a period of six months. All the learners who complete part A will attain 40 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), which is equivalent to 120 UK Credits.
Part B consists of a mandatory module and a thesis work. The duration of part B is six months and all the learners who complete part A and part B will be awarded with a degree in MBA in Health and Safety from UCAM Spain and will attain 60 ECTS, which is equivalent to 180 UK credits.
