Global Leaders Scholarship
You could be eligible for a scholarship valued up to A$12,500 towards your studies.
The Global Leaders Scholarship has been established to support you to study one of our undergraduate or postgraduate Business and Law coursework programmes. This scholarship is available for students from the following regions:

Latin America
Middle East
South Asia
South-East Asia
Scholarships will be automatically awarded to students from the above regions who have received an offer to study in an eligible programme and who will commence studying with us in 2021 and 2022.
This includes international students applying to study with University of Newcastle for the first time, as well as students entering after completion of an approved University of Newcastle pathway programme:
Students who successfully complete the Diploma of Business and Commerce with NIC and are entering the Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Commerce (as of year 2).
Students who successfully complete the NIC Pre-Master’s Programme and gain entry to a Masters level Business School Programme.
Scholarship payment
The scholarship provides A$2,500 per term of full-time study in an eligible programme, for up to four terms. These may be paid each semester or trimester, depending on the programme, to a total value of A$10,000 for a two-year programme and A$5,000 for a one year programme.
What you will study
The MBA (Global) is designed for individuals who are recent graduates in any discipline, who have limited work experience, and who are looking to develop their business leadership and management skills. The MBA (Global) will provide students with an in-depth understanding of business globalisation and its complex effect on stakeholders, societies and economies and develop their global mindset, with the interpersonal skills that allow them to operate across countries, cultures and contexts.
All 16 courses in the MBA (Global) have been developed exclusively for the programme. In addition to the 11 core (compulsory) courses, you will also have the opportunity to study elective courses in cutting edge areas of interest, including innovation and entrepreneurship, behavioural economics, change management, and business and climate change.

Utilising an active learning approach, the content will emphasise linking concepts and theories learnt in the classroom to real-world examples in different contexts, industries and countries. With an international study tour and compulsory organisational internship built into the programme, the MBA (Global) will build your practical skill base and knowledge in leadership, communication and problem-solving.
The international study tour enables you to actively learn and engage with academics, students and industry participants from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds building your interpersonal and communication skills.
Through the compulsory internship, you will spend a minimum of 80 hours in a local organisation utilising your coursework knowledge to contribute to the business, building your professional network and work-readiness.
In your second year, you may also choose to articulate into a high-profile specialist master programme at a University elsewhere, allowing you to receive degrees from two institutions.
Admission requirements
Entry into the Master of Business Administration (Global) will be available to applicants who have:
Bachelor degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, in any field of study.
Students from overseas will be required to demonstrate English proficiency to the equivalent of an overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no individual score less than 6.
